From Informant to Victim: The Death of Andrew Sadek

What is the cost of our mistakes? What should we do to make amends, for something we have done wrong? Whenever we make a mistake, the natural course of action is to attempt to repair it, and if this is impossible, at least try to compensate for the act through our behaviour, or perhaps by offering favours to those harmed by our actions. These may seem like philosophical questions, but they are, in fact, dilemmas faced in many people's lives.
 
And such a dilemma was faced by Andrew Sadek, who was accused of a drugs offence and, in an effort to make amends and reduce the punishment he knew he would inevitably have to endure, agreed to assist the police by acting as an undercover informant. Tragically, this decision led to him becoming the fatal victim of a murder.
